Susanne Miesner has been an internationally-renowned and successful trainer of both horses and riders for 30 years.
She is a Pferdewirtschaftsmeisterin, distinguished with the Stensbeck Medal, and, furthermore, she has a Master's degree in Agricultural Engineering. Her most important trainers were Herbert Rehbein, Fritz Tempelmann and Johann Hinnemann.
She has made a name for herself both in practice, with her successes in the saddle, and theoretically, with her authored works.
She has celebrated numerous wins and placements at State Championship level as well as at the Bundeschampionat. Her ride on her horse Ronaldo remains unforgettable as, to this day, he is still the only horse to have obtained two marks of 9.5 at the Bundeschampionat in a dressage horse test.
She has been successful up to Grand Prix level on several horses that she produced herself. Her successes include numerous high placings at Aachen, Devon and West Palm Beach, as well as at the German Championships for Professional Riders.
Her experience in training and judging young horses has made her a highly sought-after Guest Rider at, amongst others, Stallion Approvals and at the Bundeschampionat.
Susanne Miesner has co-authored the current Guidelines of the FN (German National Federation), an endeavour which has allowed her to work together and exchange views with other first-rate equestrian personalities.
Alongside a range of didactic videos and guidebooks published by FN-Verlag (the FN's in-house Press), she was responsible for the FN monograph Training The Young Horse.
For the past fifteen years, she has been a member of the Examinatory Board for Professional Riders.
She has demonstrated her theoretical knowledge and her practical experience at many seminars throughout the world, and shown that the sound classical grounds of our training methods speak for themselves and are correct for the horse. And she has shown that the basic training of young horses is absolutely fundamental for their further development.
